Has anyone painted FABRIC furniture and had it NOT rub off when used?

Try using a clear liquid patina to seal the paint in and keep it soft!

Use chalk paint and wax. I have used Annie Sloan brand with good results, but have seen people use other brands with the same results. Check out youtube for some great tutorials. Good luck!

I painted the canvas seats on my kitchen stools and the fabric covered foot stool we use in the living room with regular acrylic paints from the hobby store. I didn't use anything extra on the tall stools and did use extender on the ottoman, haven't had any rub off and it has been several years since they were done. Personally, I am not a fan of chalk paint and would never put wax on a piece of fabric.

I painted my love seat over a year ago with chalk paint, waxed it once done and have never had a problem with the paint rubbing off. BTW, I painted it in pewter grey.
