Put ice cubes to hardened the wax or use a warm iron with a soft white cloth.
You can also use a hot iron over a wet towel, here are helpful suggestions for a similar question asked earlier on Discussions- http://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/fabric/q-how-can-i-remove-clean-up-candle-wax-from-carpet--24057484
How can I remove / clean up candle wax from carpet?
I will try this.
Thank you. God bless you all.
Here the FOR SURE ANSWER: Use a paper grocery bag cut open to lay it flat on spot, next take an iron, turn on (setting doesn't really matter) once heated place on top of paper and watch as the wax melts and is slowly absorbed in to the paper. WORKS EVERYTIME AND IS A LIFE SAVER!!!! Take Care
FYI DO NOT USE IRON ON CLOTHES AFTER USING IT ON THE WAX, IT MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR CLOTHES IF ANY RESIDUE REMAINS ON THE IRON!! Sorry forgot to add this with my response
Thank you!!!
let it dry scrape it with a spatula metal one.
We bought an old farm house years ago. The kitchen had Berber carpet and had wax on it around the cabinets, most likely from making jelly. We called in a professional carpet cleaner. He first used ice to harden and then scraped up what he could get up. then he used an iron and paper towels and finally iron and white cloth. He got it all up. just takes patience .
If all else fails, cut the area out and replace it from a piece from a closet, if possible. The wax may come up but the color agent may not. Red is almost impossible to remove. Good luck. Hope some of the ideas work for you.
What kind of carpet is it? If it has olefin in it, which a lot of cut and loop, low pile carpet, and berbers have, be extremely careful with a hot iron. Olefin has a low melting point. You dont want to melt your carpet along with the wax. Start out with a low temperature and test in an inconspicuous spot first.
