Its a 1950's vintage folk art hand carved pipe from Italy. Value from $30.00 to $40.00 on Ebay. Value has gone down since smoking has become somewhat taboo and not many pipe smokers out there. It would be more of a decorative piece and not much collector value. A similar one (11") sold on Ebay for $35.00.
Thanks, William. I should be good to go then.
I also would love to see what you end up doing!!
Its so interesting!!! I say go for it!!
Ditto to William.
Leave it.![](http://cdn-fastly.hometalk.com/resources/design/emojis/1f60f.png)
I love hand crafted pieces. Would look great being dis plaid in a glass top table box, or shadow box. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Goo luck
Leave as is,I think it's a great piece of art to display anywhere in the home an believe William someone somewhere are using pipes.
a shadow box large key, a pair of glasses and your pipe. you can
make up a story to go with it .
Just leave as is,beautiful! A screen & some fine bud, you are G2G.
It really would be a shame to destroy something so beautiful. If nothing else try to find someone who would appreciate it's beauty and give it to them. If it's American folk art maybe a museum would like it.
I agree with everyone who says leave it the way it is! It's beautiful!!!
It's done then. Leave as is. As soon as I decide the best way and place to display it I'll update the photo. Thanks all!
looks hand carved leave it.
It's a beautiful piece of art. Please don't do anything to it!
