If there is no door put up a tension rod and hang a drape.
We had the same problem years ago and my mom used a folding 3 piece screen that she painted to match the wall colour in the dining room. It covered just enough of the hall so that people in the dining room couldn't see the bathroom door. Worked for us. They are very easy to make and it was free standing.
We have a similar problem and we hang a tension rod and a grommet panel drape.
