Most states have either a university or agriculture department that can identify a plant from a single leaf. Do a google search for plant identification and the name of your state. With their help there will be no question as to it's identity.
what state do you live in ? That might eliminate some possibilities. Is the fruit itself the size of a dime , or are they pea size and in clusters?
Look up nightshade or bladdernut. Good luck.
Its a Japanese plum loquat. Very good tasting. I'm in Fl and they bloom and fruit Mar and April. Have to beat the squirrels.
