Here's a helpful guide http://learn.eartheasy.com/2014/04/3-useful-soil-mixes-for-planters-and-raised-beds/
You can use a combination of garden soil (Miracle Gro makes one) manure and peat moss.
Warn adding manure to any soil make sure it will be a few weeks before planting.
A mixture of soil, any kind, peat moss, and compost. Manure should be added in the fall so it can break down. Adding manure now can burn any plantings.

some one suggested equal parts of peat, perlite or vermiculite, top soil and compost. I'v been using this mix sans fertilizer for my seedlings, adding a 1/2 dose of fertilizer when i pot them up. when i plant them in containers for outside- i'll mix the next batches with the full dose of pelleted fertilizer. i have a small compost tumbler that mixes 8 gallon of potting medium at a time. how much fertilizer depends on the brand. you can mix bigger batches of the potting mix on a tarp-mix by folding the tarp over one way and then another.
