    That is what they call a Field Weed. Pour boiling water on it to kill it. Heat two cups of water in the microwave for 5 minutes or a rolling boil. Take it out and pour right in the middle of that thing. It will die in about 12 hours and harm nothing else around it. Good for all weeds and grass you want to kill. Be careful walking with boiling water. If it splashes you, you are burned. Let me know how it comes out.

    Boiling water??

    once I figure out how to heat it all up to a boil....... Do u think the fire dept will let me use their water & hose? My entire yard is 1 big weed!!!

    That is fine. The sooner you boil it, the sooner you don't have to see it again. Boiling water works for practically anything. Except, we poured gasoline on a snowball bush because aphids had eaten it to death, and we cut all the limbs off down to the stump. The next year, it came back stronger than ever and is blooming. Amazing what a strong dose of medicine will do.

    Could be a wild yellow primrose. They grow tall about 5' and have small yellow flowers that hummers love, also butterflies. Don't let them go to seed or you will have a million of them.
