It depends on what you are gluing to.
As Barbara said it will depend on what you are trying to glue together . If you are gluing fabric to fabric, there are several brands of Liquid Stitching. If you are gluing to another surface, a good quality white glue might do the trick.
Trying to glue gold metalic trim to a silk or polyester lampshade. I tried, hot glue gun, just peels off and Aleenes Permanant fabric glue, just soaks in. Not sure what to try next.
Try the usual Super glue or Gorilla glue. Since its not a garment that needs to flex with you or get laundered, any glue that won't negatively react (chemically )should work.
Thanks all will try a couple more types of glue, nothing ventured..nothing gained!
