I am not sure I understand this question but ants do not like cinnamon. Just go to the grocery store and buy some ground cinnamon, sprinkle it around the anthills and they will go somewhere else. Another thing you can use is grits. Sprinkle them on the anthills and they will carry them home. The grits swell up when they get moist and clog up the anthills so they have to move or die.

They eat them and when the grits swell they are inside the ants....there by killing the ants from inside their body

I think what she is saying is she uses leaves in her artwork. If this is happening where she stores them, them cinnamon oil on some cotton balls and put them in or around the storage cabinet ant hate cinnamon but it has to be the essential oil the ground powder fades to quickly. and unless it is from Saigon cinnamon, it is Cassia.

Ants also don't like peppermint, they make a commercial spray I use, Victors. Look for the trail of ants and spray. Exploratory ant will lay a chemical trail the others can follow, so I always kill the first ant I see and if other come I spray the trail. Sprinkling borax also works as it dehydrates their bodies. Sprinkle a line around the house.

They also make a new commercial ant killer, that works by the ant consuming the substance in the trap, and when it goes back to the colony and kills the whole colony. Its not the standard thalimine.
