Yes there is and I can assure you, first-hand that it does work and I can promise you, that it will not harm your dog...because we have 6 month old puppy AND I just did this exact thing,to my weeds... not too long ago. And by the way,my puppy dog is a scavenger and wants to eat everything that moves or she notices, as she's walking our yard. So,I understand wanting to make sure that you not only can kill your weeds, but you will NOT harm your sweet puppy...in the process.
I'm going to just give you the recipe and you can adjust it... according to the size bottle you have on hand.
Some people add water...I brought out the big guns & did not look dilute it LOL...used it full strength. You can experiment and figure out what you like best or you can risk it all & be "all in".
(I'm feeling a little silly,so I hope my humor is not a bother.)
Natural pet safe, weed killing spray recipe:
1 gallon vinegar
2 tablespoons of blue DAWN brand dish soap. (I estimated my measurement and did not use measuring tools and it still work!)
It needs to be agricultural vinegar which is 20%, as opposed to household vinegar that is only 5%. Ask me how I know 😩
I have actually had great success using household vinegar diluted with an equal amount of water with a tsp of Dawn dish soap added. The weeds started dying off in a couple of hours. Boiling water also works.
