My friend put velvet covered cork inside these beautiful vintage oval frames and displays her cameos in her bedroom.
Even tho I'm sure they are georgeous to display but if you have a lot you could buy some containers with little compartments or even ice cube trays that stack and store them in. My mom has ice cube trays stacked in one of her drawers with her jewelry.
Some craft stores sell pre-made boxes that you can finish yourself. Figure out 'where' in the box you would want each cameo; then you can make cardboard inserts, cover them with a complimentary colored nappy fabric for each cameo & place them in the box. You can attach 'hangers' on the box & hang the box on the wall, then open the lid of the box & select which one you want to wear.
Take a picture frame, and wrap the cardboard backing with velvet or velvet and then Lace on top of the velvet. Place E6000 glue on the back of the cardboard to secure fabric be to frame. Next, place a thin strip of E6000 glue around the edges of the frame and press down the fabric-covered cardboard, until it is dry, and it adheres properly. Once dry, hang cameos through the fabric. You now have a place to display your beautiful collection, BUT it will alsobe art itself hanging on your wall or on an easel on your dressing-table.
I would buy a glass fronted shadow box and back it with a sturdy fabric that you will be able to pin into. You could add lace pieces behind the cameos and perhaps a pretty border of pearls. It would look beautiful hung on a wall.
