You can use Unicorn Spit! Its fun!
Please be careful of you choice of paints. My advice to you since the websites are not conclusive is to actually research the brand of the birdbath and see what they have to say. I certainly would not use unicorn spit.
Yes, you can paint it. There are lot of paints out there for concrete. Have fun.
Just don't paint the inside if you plan to use it as a bird bath. You can harm the birds.
You can use a paint that seals as well and paint it. Check Lowes advisors.
I painted my husband's grandmother's cement bird bath with Giani Granite paint and it has lasted over 5 years now. I first used a good cement sealer (so it didn't suck up all my paint). Then primed, painted and put on at least 5 coats of the water base, food safe acrylic coating.
