This "volunteer" plant blooms pretty white flowers . I have tried digging up the root, etc, but it just comes back. It has also started a couple of other places.
Does anyone know what this plant is?
It was my grandfather's favorite flower. We have handed it down through generations. We call it the purple flower plant.
Moisture
You can use a clear coat spray protectant from Rustoleum.
clay pots are very porous and susceptible to moisture, particularly if kept in the shade. If you have mold and not moss, soak your empty pots in a bleach solution and then dry in the sun. You can seal the interior and exterior of the pot with a clay pot sealer available at most craft stores.
Clay pots are porous and can hold and propagate spores. use a small amout of bleach in a sprayer mixed with water and be careful not to hit the plant also if the pot is empty before use soak in bleach water for 5 min to minimize and eliminate regrowth of spores when you are ready to plant make sure it sits in the sun and is dry before adding soil.
You are letting the pots get too wet. Try putting them in the sun when possible.
I made some pot-people with new clay pots. Now one of my" people's head (pot) is turning white on the outside. The other pots don't have that problem. how come?
