Some insecticides kill ticks, but many have dangerous chemicals. Check for an organic
option. My neighbors used to use Sevin Dyst. Our dogs get ticks and we just pull them out, making sure we get the embedded head.
HomeDepot sells a product by spectracide for insects called Triazicide.
Beneficial nematodes. Hard to buy locally but available on line. Easy to apply, fast working on fleas and ticks, expensive but effective and non-toxic to pets and vegetation. I highly recommend Arbico Organics as a supplier although others are available as well.
