I transplanted a lilac bush years ago.Why has it not bloomed?

    where did you plant the bush?At any time did you prune the bush? Have you done any fertilizing?

    Hi, Janet. I planted the bush in my south garden bed. I have never pruned or fertilized it. I t was given to me by I friend that passed away. I so want it to bloom!

    Try giving it some fertilizer. Plants need nourishment to grow and thrive. Once you get a bloom, prune after blooming. If your plant is tall and straggly you might want to cut it way back and see if this will promote blooms next year.
