Making ruffled pillows is very chic right now and the neutral color of yours is most popular!
I also thought pillows but I thought woven lattice. You could die the strips various ombre shades.
PREPARING THE STRIPS FOR THE YOUR UNIQUE PROJECT:
Dye different strips different bright colors. Or dye different strips with various homemade dyes, like tea, coffee, beets, green grass, carrots, etc. Boil what you choose with a quart of water to make a "tea", strain the tea into a medium bowl or pot, put a few strips in the tea, and the longer the strips steep in the tea, the darker they will become. Put a tablespoon of vinegar in the tea when you think the strips are dark enough, and let set five minutes. Then remove and wring out the strips, let them dry outside (they will be messy). Then use your hand or an iron to flatten the pieces. You will have used your own touch to make the strips unique, whatever you make.
Weaving is definitely the way to go, making pillows or tote bags.
I was thinking on the same line of dying but if you have red white and blue you can make a strip flag for your garden or yard you could also sew the strips tgether and make a small cuddle blanket for your porch or patio
Knit, crochet, or braid a rug or chair pads.
You can glue them on a wall in your home then draw on them a natural view to be like a poster .
Make some smaller belt pouches for cell phones, change, or just what needs a place to be carried.
Dip them in quick concrete stuff and wrap them around a plastic planter. Leave as is or spray paint.
Weave them into rectangles, stitch around the edges and make placemats!
I thought pillows...sew or weave...you can use sharpies and make any design you want on them
Thanks for all your awesome ideas! Im not sure which one/ones I'm going to attempt, but I'll let you know ;0)
