How can we get rid of Voles ? They are in our front lawn and ruined a

get the "poison peanuts" made for moles. they come in a cone shaped container that u can use to poke a hole for the peanuts.

1. The way I get rid of moles or voles. I have 6 traps FOR SALE. You will need Juicy Fruit chewing gum. Sweeney's poison peanut pellets and Gloves. Find the tunnels (usually raised cracked dirt that runs.) With gloves on, tear gum into 4 pieces. With Sweeney's container, carefully place tip along the tunnels making angled hole. Be extremely careful not to cave dirt into tunnels. About every 24 " or so. Place 1 piece Gum, 10 Peanut (less, not more) Pellets into hole. Use Sweeney's container tip Carefully push treats down into their tunnel. Cover opening by placing leaf over opening and carefully put a little dirt so no light shines into the hole you made. Never walk on their tunnels, never. Next day or two they will be history. Walk your lawn every week. Immediately Treat every time you see where they are tunneling. Wear gloves, human scent , or they will move to another location in your lawn or garden.

Get a cat. Seriously. Go to any shelter & find a mature cat that is used to being outside, at least part of the time. If you are using poison, you must not let any pets into your yard.

I use Gopher Purge...yes, it DOES work...it's HOW you use it that counts. Buy a plant or two, plant them in your flower bed; go to EACH mole/vole hill & uncover it; insert 1 or 2 leaves off the Gopher Purge plant [take from the bottom leaves first] into the hole & cover it up. Over the next few days watch to see if there is any activity...if there are any new 'hills' repeat the process...SOON, the moles/voles will be gone...maybe even in your neighbor's yard! NOTE: Some people are allergic to this plant, PLEASE wear gloves when handling it...it has a milky white sap like Milkweed & poinsettia.
