What type of hard surface could you use to put down on top of a pressure treated deck, on our screened in porch ? We want something that would look better than the pressure treated wood. Also, something that would cover up the spacing between the boards so bugs & dirt wouldn't get through. Thanis for any suggestions.

If I were wanting to put a solid surface over a pressure treated deck, I would go to solid 2x6 redwood boards. Lay them cross ways of the old deck boards. The redwood will last many, many years and if needed can be treated with stain or a varnish. There are bug sprays to eliminate that problem.

If you can to the underside, tack or staple screening across the bottom of the deck. Then you could just get some pretty indoor-outdoor carpeting for the porch.

I like the idea TeddyBear mentioned; but if push comes to shove...some people have laid down linoleum sheeting [not squares], it's easily cleaned, no risk of bug infestations & smooth surface to walk on. If you wanted a throw rug added on, you can or remove it.

Indoor/outdoor carpets that can be hosed off are often on sale and inexpensive.
