Why does everyone say you can only plant things in months with an "R" in them?

Plant in the fall for spring blooms. Plant early spring & summer months for plants that need warmer weather. Temperature and condition of soil is important depending on what you are planting. If unsure ask the experts at your local nursery. Best of luck.
