Why would you want to get rid of violets.
I agree
Violets get out of hand quickly and come up all over the flower bed. Would never plant again. I just dug mine up and if more appeared would pull up. Think Ive won the battle. There are other plants that do the same thing so you need to know your plants.
However, if in lawn you need to spray as would be endless job trying to dig up.
I would leave them, the bees need them.
