I think that is the way the vineyards grow and something similar.
one of the most important things is to spray. Spraying is important to the survival of your plants. To handle potential diseases and pests. Garden Disease Control for anthracnose, leaf spot, powdery mildew, downey mildew, black rot and more. Spray when dormant, late winter/early spring before leaves emerge. Then at the first sign of flea beetles, Japanese beetles, grape leaf skeletonizers, grape berry moth, spider mites, mealybugs, leafhoppers, black rot, downy mildew and botrytis rot, use BonideFruit Tree Spray or any fruit tree spray.
all great suggestions, altho I have never had any problem with pests on my grape vines. would also suggest that you google "how to grow grapevines" lots of good info there.
