Only do it when your drains/toilets start draining slow. Otherwise wasting money.

No leaving it until the toilets back up to get it pumped.
We have never had to pump ours. We use Rid-x once every 2 months to keep the bacteria active in your septic system. The instructions are on the box. You need bacteria to keep your system working.
