What is the white stuff on my lemon tree and how can I get rid of it?

I purchased my tree last summer and moved it indoors when it got cool. Kept it away from heat, but have it plenty of sunlight. It's thriving, but the white stuff (maybe aphids) is on the branches now.

could be mites, wipe them off with a little alcohol in water. I spray them when I bring them inside.

    with the mixture.

Sounds like spider mite. You will have to re-pot the plant in the next size up in new potting soil. Then spray the leaves down both sides with horticultural oil.Repeat as necessary.
