How do you keep grass out of raised vegetable beds?

Prior to planting use cardboard,newspapers and landscape fabric.
Old fabric will last longer than newspaper .
Im only assuming your raised beds werent lined with landscape fabric?..Another thing people forget is when you cut grass in your yard..weed seed particles can in up in your veggie or flower beds so use a bagger whenever possible. I learned this the hard way....But in answer to your question...good old fashion weed pulling..is best not fun but effective after good soaking .
Grass will grow anywhere you don't want it to. Use cardboard instead of the fabric on the bottom of your beds, keep your grass cut don't let it go to seed. Apply preen over your mulch. Be mindful of how you now your grass and where the clippings go. You will still end up with weeds and probably grass. When the growing season is over I put a fresh layer of cardboard down and fresh compost. The layer of cardboard is really a double layer with paper bags over it.
