Can I move a climbing vine that is gowing up the side of the wall and

I planted this vine two years ago and it is growing well however I need to move it so it can grow up the wall instead of curling in the eves Will I kill it by moving or should I just keep cutting it down ? Sure could use suggestions

If it's on a trellis like mine, you can keep directing new shoots to grow downward by weaving new growth in and out, or trimming them if they get too high. If you dont have a trellis, you can try cutting the plant back in the fall when it's dormant and moving it.
BTW I wouldn't recommend putting a vine on a bare wall as over the years it can be destructive to the material it's growing on. A trellis is a better idea.
Make sure you dig your plant out way beyond where you think the root ball is. Transplanting old dirt into new dirt is much more successful than bare roots into new dirt. No guarantee that it won't die, unfortunately.
Climbing vines are resilient, careless loosening of the roots with your fingers and repositioning them to your desired location is all that is needed. They will grab hold quicker if you lightly mist the wall after you relocate the vines.
What kind of climber is it? If you do 't know clip about 3" off and take to a garden store they should be able to help.
