I have seen many low end and high end plastic fences that have been damaged by heavy wind, rain, and snow. I have seen some bowing down in the center and warping in between the posts from the heat of summer. Many companies are reinforcing the plastic fences with internal aluminum and steel. But that increases the cost. I prefer wood or metal. I installed one hundred feet of pressure treated wood fence about 15 years ago. Only had to restain it once.
The white looks nice and the cedar wood looks nice. I have the cedar wood with a stain on it. I installed and stained it 9 years ago. It still looks good. Neighbor across the street has a white plastic fence. Installed about 7years ago. It still looks nice. If you go with wood, be sure to put a stain on it as there are a lot in my area that did not stain and after a couple of years they look very drab.
