If scratches aren't to deep try using car wax
Some automotive stores carry a product called Scratch-X that is used on windshields. You can give that a try if the scratches are not too deep. If all else fails, use a heavy grit sand paper and try to scratch the whole surface evenly to give it a little bit of a "frosted" look and it will look like it is supposed to be that way!
Sand & frost or use sea glass finish & then seal?
Do you want to remove the scratches? I like the idea of frosting it for a different look!
