My lawn Irrigation heads do not pop up- what can i do?

If I turn off the system and then restart, they popup and work fine. What could be the couse and what is the solution?

You can do it, first determine the cause- here's a great guide to get you started!

there could be air in the system. Low water pressure or air in the system will keep soe of the heads from popping up. When you turn it off and on it resets the heads.

  Thanks Pat. I just found that I have a dripping leak under the pressure guage. I assume there must be some kind of diaphram in there that must have given up. I have a pump service coming over to fix it. I will also see it the two problems are related.
