When to trim anabolic split leaf philodendrom?

live n nw fla. plant is over 25 years old.
That will depend on how warm it is.Trimming plants in Florida in the heat will create to much stress on the plant.
Typically I'm only removing dead or dying branches, etc. However, if there's a branch interfering with the walkway of other plants, I'll remove it any time. As far as I can tell, the heat does not affect the plant regardless of when I trim it and I've had mine for many years.
