It need to be light weight. I just want something to help make not look like I am living in my travel trailer.
Framing them gives you an attractive way to display as well as protect them. I framed doilies that had been handed down. I looked for a wider frame so it would accommodate them.
Get some frames from the dollar store . Don't like the color ? Paint the frame to match your decor.
You could frame the tea towels and display them as art on the walls, you can hang them from hooks on a shelf, or you can hang a nice curtain rod to hold them and display them that way on the wall.
A whimsical look might be a "clothesline" with clothes pins displaying your collection! Like a wash day theme! or use with rods to make café curtains! Good luck!
if they're antique or heirloom try hanging them in shadow boxes maybe with a shelf holding a tea set.
An old rake can be nice too. You can cut the wooden handle and suspend your towels from the rungs.
I saw someone put up a curtain rod and display then under her cabinets next to her backsplash. You could do the same or put the rod on your wall and hang your towels. You could also use like a valance over your windows.

Get two dowels, cut to size needed, attach a cord roll top of towel over it enough to pin with small tacks, then do the same with towel at the bottom. Found this picture on web to show what I mean. This one shows a little twine/jute around exposed dowel for extra texture.
A old ladder where the towels are hung individually on each rung. Ladder can lean against the wall.
You could add them as a valance for your window.
