I've heard, if you put this in the frig, then in 30 minutes, the silk comes off easier. You may want to try this, I hope it will help. I haven't tried it, but I will let you try it for us, ok? Best wishes, Judy.
When you are done shucking rotate your hand around the top of the cob and rub back and forth most should come right off
Try soaking it in water first - this is what we do. The trick is though that after, you pull in long, broad strokes and grab the silky strings as you pull down.
