Buy hangers that can hold about five garments. They've amazingly space-saving.
Install a second closet rod below the current one. You'll need to measure exact placement to not interfere with top rod and not have clothes on bottom rod drag on the floor
Thdnk you. In a way, already done. Hoping for ideas š” I hav tried :-(
Yes walk in closets look great empty but I still have to keep seasonal clothes in plastic containers. Be careful if you put to much weight on rod it will fall. Maybe because of where I live I have to have clothes for 3 seasons and have more clothes. I've done about 3 DE clutterings and yet I get what you mean about these over stuffed closets that get made over and there is no clothes in the after pictures and I just laugh.
I'm also a big fan of doubling and tripling up on hangers- you get triple the use in the same space!
Try installing towel rods on the wall behind your clothes. Then use hangers where the hook swivels and you can hang out of season clothes behind your seasonal clothes.
We built shelves and hung rods at various heights for our clothing. Also, there is space at the top on each side for boxes, bags, etc. We are able to pack a lot of stuff in the small space.
