Not sure what you mean by decor but paint makes a big difference. Trying changing your furniture around and look for things in your room that you can repurpose. changing out pillows makes a big impact too. Go to garage sales and think out of the box. I used inexpensive plaster vertical frames to replace a headboard. I repainted several of my lamps, candle sticks etc to match my new decor. Hope this helps!
A new comforter set adds a quick change.
If you can do new furniture, go IKEA. My bedroom was transformed from heavy, oversized traditional to light and airy with white furniture and armoires instead of dressers!
Just re-did our bedroom by painting, new bedding and all decorations from Ross (senior discount on Tuesdays!), one white tall dresser and drapes/shades from Ikea (on sale plus coupon!) and clearance tufted headboard from Joss and Main. Love how it turned out. Just took time to find all of it at the right price.
Repaint the room, make new pillow shams from pillow cases, colorful throw rugs made into throw pillows, use Walmart clearance $5 outdoor pillows to brighten up. Try reusing your existing spread but different colorful sheets and pillows.
