We have a non-slip vinyl shower floor that has a small split don't know how long it as been there - how to fix and what to use to fix the problem ?
Could I be able to tile over the top of the vinyl flooring instead pulling the vinyl floor.

There are several silicone products found in the big home improvement stores. Only problem I can see is to keep the floor water tight because then you will have a much bigger problem

Personally, I would not want to risk what might have already happened under there. I worry about rot and mold in these situations and that could be extremely troublesome and expensive down the road. I would pull it out and replace it or start all over. You certainly would not want to tile over it since grout is permeable and water would still get through it. If you would like a tile floor, look on this as a grand opportunity to remodel.

You think there is an intermediary step to check instead of pulling it all up?

    Have it replaced.

I would try a pool patch until you are able to replace it.

If it's fiberglass, it will need replaced. We had that problem. We patched then it fell through. With most shower floors, if fiberglass, there is a vacant space below.

These people think this would be okay. How big is the crack and how long has it been there?
