Well the obvious choice is to buy an inexpensive wardrobe/armoire. We're in the same boat here... no closets except in the master bedroom. If you don't have room in your room, maybe making an extra room into a walk in closet using the systems at hardware stores would be an idea? Good luck!
I once lived in a house that had only 750 square feet...very small. Would you be able to share a picture of your bedroom? I'm also a widow and I live alone but in my two bedroom apt. I have a walk in closet in my bedroom thank goodness. I would love to help you find a solution because I have experience with very small spaces! I have some thoughts but really need to see pics of your bedroom and it's layout. If possible send the pics to my email and I'll get right to work finding a fix. Thank you!
Buy clothes that required just folding, store under bed, or luggage for each season. Good luck.
You can get layering clothes hangers like you would put into a closet but, in your case just hang it over the back of your room door so it hangs on the inside of the room door. There clothes will be hung up but also out of the way! Hang in there! Yah I went there! :-)
Hi Roxanne, The real estate under you bed is great storage. You could purchase under-the-bed storage bags, or you could improvise with boxes or milk crates. They sell risers that will make your bed a little taller and give even more space. Hope this helps.
