I use behr deck over on my treated lumber deck. It has peeled up twice
- The deck was properly prepped, cleane with the proper cleaner and the deck over just will not stay on the wood. What do I do now?

We were also taken in so to speak about Behr paint for our deck, I painted it on my deck I got the (blue) it looked great, did all treatment as said. we had a veritable mess. it started peeling I pulled off strips some of them 20 " long, took back to Home Depot where we purchased. they got in touch with Behr, they sent us 2 more gallon, ( which was hardly enough) painted it again , did the same thing. we had to end up replacing our whole deck which measures about 45 ft by 40 ft. we were sick, the cost of 2 by 6"s are not cheap . so I sympathize with you. . I do not think there is fix for this. I hope you find one. Sandra
You know Behr is a good paint if you're intending to use it on walls, but I have found for outside decks and fences it just isn't that great. You are going to have to get a power washer and really clean it well. Then you will need to reprep it and stain or repaint it with a better quality product like Olympic. They make a stain and sealer in one that I found works well. If you go the paint route instead of stain they also make a solid stain that looks more like paint . Their Rescue It Max resurface, primer and sealant all in one is a very good product. Good luck.
You may have to just paint over, if stain will not stay on.
I put it on a fence and the same thing happened. The fence was made with green treated lumber that was 30 yrs. old.
