i don't think it's that much hard than other materials. We have a cinder block wall and we first applied a thin coat of concrete then painted it with an exterior acrylic paint. We did scrape off any peeling paint before we started the project.
Make it easy, hire someone to do it! Seriously, Lisa has the right idea.
use a good primer ot paint with primer. Those cinder blocks can suck up the paint!
Preparation is the most important thing in painting. I'd power wash the cinder block first. That will not only clean the block, but take off any loose paint if it's been painted before. And yes, use a quality outdoor paint made for cinder block. Good paint today has primer already in it. Using a paint sprayer is the easiest.
Prime first or your wasting time and money. After that it shouldn't be a problem.
same as painting any other house. you can use a sprayer or brush. The brush takes a bit longer to get into all the crevices. Best to spray wash first, let dry then paint. Paint does not hold well on dirty surface.
Bullseye paint is a good primer and stain cover like Kilz, only you can mix colors in it just like regular paint. You may want to ask someone in your home improvement store's paint section about using it on cinder blocks as I'm not real sure about them.
Just go to home depot. Get some behr paint made for cinder block and paint away, judy kephart, phoenix
Very easy job. Make sure your paints are for exterior, (concrete/cinder block). Prime first to seal or use an all in one primer/paint. **You need to use a "very thick nap paint roller" ** for the porosity of the surface.
Thank you Sal. Very impressed with your comment. Again thanks
