We used Baer stain/sealer three years ago..have been very pleased...comes in lots of colors...but is not cheap...remember.. You get what you pay for!
ask where you buy your paint - THEY know what they're doing.
Are you sure you want paint and not stain?
A lot of what you will use depends on what you want for the end result. Also, when was the last time your deck was stained? What condition is your deck is in? I'll give you my recommendation based on my own deck if you don't mind. My own deck was very weathered (2 years without a treatment, exposed to the elements). Some of the wood had to be replaced as it had cracked very badly, so our wood was no longer all the same beautiful silver (weathered) color. Also, we had several areas where the wood seemed to be very smooth and, therefore, slippery when wet. We ultimately settled on Behr Premium DeckOver, and had the color tinted to match our home. We have been exceptionally happy with the DeckOver. As Landsharkinnc said above, it is not cheap, but it is a wonderful product! It has made all of the problems disappear, and the deck looks brand new!
Behr stains from Home Depot. Available in different finishes . I preferred solid. Started with semitransparent -- showed where you started and finished( lines and overlaps). Ended up with solid for a beautiful deck.
I agree with Denniso3. I have tried other brands but Behr is the best deck sealer as well and interior and exterior paint. I have a lot of decking in the back yard as well as a boat dock and have used Behr on both with great results
This is what I have used:
