Want to get items off the floor in craft room, but wall studs are not as strong as other type homes.
Cut pieces of paper the sizes of your art and arrange on the floor until you have an arrangement you like
I have a picture wall (not tall like yours) but my brother helped me layout the paintings. We used the floor in front of the wall to come up with a pleasing arrangement and then proceeded to hang them up one by one.
I laid mine out on the floor as well when I moved my first time. Then I moved a second time and decided that i would just start hanging. It was amazing how it just came together and I have small and large pictures and a Couple accent pieces, a couple mirrors of different shapes and sizes and that kind of thing. Dont work too hard at it. Just so what you feel and it will look beautiful!
Hello Kate. I agree with with Ana. Lay your pictures and art work on the floor and move them around until you find the arrangement you want. Then hang them up. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Cut out paper bags, same size as your pictures. Label them, and tape them to the walls, til you get the layout you will like. Works for me!
START in the middle of the wall with your attention getter. Then build around that art/picture. Your done when you hang the last piece of art/picture.
Looks like your wall is too big and irregular for the floor method to work, and the paper bags are almost as much work as the real thing on a tall wall. So I would use some drawing software to create a to-scale drawing of your wall. Then take screenshots of your art and objects and place them where you want and move them around until you get an arrangement you like. Print a copy of the design an use it for your reference when hanging the real thing.
