This is perfect, Ask the sales aide at your box store for the correct chisel (must be treated for job) and outdoor epoxy that lasts through all the seasons. Marine sealant maybe a worthwhile very long term investment here. I personally can already "see" your finished product and she is a damn fine grand dame indeed. Aha, almost forgot you want a few different sizes of your glass beads to fit into all the wee holes. Please send me a note if you have more questions as I am going through a head cold. Nasty buggers, hehehehe. BUT lack of clarity talking to you as you can see, lol. The best of luck and create some joy inside of you as you create your beautiful walkway.
I will be sure to try this project soon.
Cracks represent movement-my suggestion is to use a flexible joint filler. Stain or dye works best in my option..no flaking or peeling in heavy foot traffic areas. Always follow manufacturer's specs-
I can only address the glass 'beads' question. I've been doing this for years! The neighborhood kids love it. I use E6000 glue. It dries clear. I suggest using a brush and cleaning out the hole first. The dirt will prevent the glue from adhering to the concrete. it looks so nice when the sun hits it!
I had bought a glue that said it would work for cement, it was a failure all the beads popped off. I was doing a vertical design on cement round plugs that I use as a border. I have used clear silicone for glass on glass that is freeze weather proof works well. I might try that and see if it holds up.
Use a pressure washer to clean before decorating. Also, please send pix of completed project
AND above all else, "PICTURES" of your finished project. I love the idea!
