Just push down on the suction cup, if not wet the bottom of the cup and push down
Run the water, then standing outside the tub use your foot to press the bath mat down in a couple places until it doesn't move.
Yes, I agree with Nelly, just wet the bottom of the suction cup and push down.
If you have a tub like mine, you cant use that yep of mat. I have a fiberglass tub that has little bumps molded into it. Since the surface is not smooth, the suction cups won't stick. If your tub is like mine you would have to get the peel and stick nonslip decals because the mats won't work.
If this doesn't stick, then it is time for a new one., or write to the company who made it. I put ours in first, then put the water in, and check it to be sure it is gripping. Or, you can buy, like a butterfly, and this has 5-6 suction cups and you can check this too.. and then take it up, when you are done. J.
Our tub has small bumps in it too, and ours still stick. J.
I have tried what they're saying and it doesn't work.
Mine wont stick dry or wet. It is fiberglass also with small bumps.
Mine has small bumps on the bottom as well and it won’t stay suctioned. I guess I will try the peel and stick
I have a suction cup mat and my boyfriend got it for my tub because I'm disabled and fell in shower but it will not stick. On 7/28/19, I put my right foot in the tub and the mat slid and I hit my left shin bone so hard on the outside edge of the tub. Now I can't walk because I have a dime size hold down to the bone. A deep gaping hole an my shin. I would like to know who to make a complaint to. Does anyone know???

I'd either run some water then press the mat down tight or get the suction cups wet and press it down tight.
Add moisture to the cups aand press down.
