Mardy Howe on Jan 31, 2014Yes they do work on painted or unpainted cement indoors or out although I have never hung anything on the outdoor one in winter but I assume they will as they make them for hanging wreaths and lights. I hope this helps you.Helpful Reply

Tabby on Feb 01, 2014I can't get them to work on 'new' glossy paint, new as in dry and cured a couple months, --- they still come loose. I don't know why; they work on all other surfaces. (Be careful stretching/pulling them off, it always jumps and smacks my hand so you have to use your non-pulling hand to hold onto the plastic part lightly.)Helpful Reply

Diana Lafavor on Feb 02, 2014I used them in a barn lounge area with great success. We hung several framed photos, some of them were quite large and heavy. Just make sure you stay within the weight rating of the hooks, or double up. We used 3m I can't comment on some of the knock offs now on the marketHelpful Reply
