I have found Vinegar (white or apple cider) does work on varied hard water levels. The trick is to use it straight, undiluted, and not mixed with anything else. The key is to be patient and wait. Give it time to work, over night if necessary especially if you have super hard water AND you have let the calcium "build up". The best way is to soak an old towel or washcloth ( depending on the area you want to treat) wrap or lay the Vinegar saturated towel on or around the calcium stain and let it there for a few hours or overnight. Next you may need a scrub pad or razor blade to gently scrub or scrape away the calcium. Rinse with plain water and dry the area. You may need to repeat the process, but Vinegar definitely works and is not toxic.
vinagar
vinegar... for sure as it is described already
USE sos. This does wonders, or you may want to soak it in a CLR solution for a few hours.
