How about hanging sheer curtains? Will cut the glare. You will have to make a choice whether to block the sun and heat or enjoy the view. Or, if in the budget, replace the glass with the new UV resistant type.
You can also tint the glass a dark limousine tint. That way the evening sun is blocked , you have privacy, and it won't be as hot .
Hello Hdcllc; You can always purchase block out curtains. They are very dark.
Of course, you could have another lighter curtain in front of them.
If I were doing this, I would close the block out curtain at the hottest time of the day, and then open after it is not so hot out.
I hope that this helps you! Take Care!
It is open. There is no glass. Need to stop heat penetration
Think about a bamboo curtain. You can roll it up all the way or part way, what ever you like. It will block most of the sun, but let in some light and breeze.
Any one of these ideas should do the trick! I currently have a sunshade like the first picture installed in my backyard, as creating an entire patio area with a roof is just not in the budget right now.
I would use painter drop cloths that you make a small pocket at the top and insert a pole at the top and attach at the top. Keep them closed in the hot sun, then use ribbons to tie them open
