arbor vitea can grow in a pot, but it needs to be wide and deep enough for it to get good root growth

Hello Carol; Please contact your local nursery where you reside. They will be able to direct you to growing the right plants.
Aside from that, A small Cedar tree will grown well in a large pot. It will have to have a lot of room.

Norfolk Pine. I had one that grew taller than my ceiling and it bent over at the top. I donated it to my veterinarian for his lobby. He keeps it trimmed back.
