What do you do to the walls that you have just removed wallpaper off?

if there is any residue from the paper or glue, wash it down and dry before painting
After you clean the paper and glue you will need to re-texture and then paint
I've never had to 'retextured'! 30 yrs. of removal all it's ever taken is total glue removal and the occasional small spackle.

We use TSP, it whips the old glue and yuck off very well. You'll need to rewipe with just water after that. You'll have to do some sanding if you're going to paint it.
What is TSP???
