If you are just looking to replace the glob coverings for an updated look, the link below will be of some help. It even has a trak light fixture that can be attached to the wall above the window opening, or a trak light that can hang if you prefer that instead or messing with installing it onto the wall itself. I do hope you can find something you like, and thank you for coming to Hometalk for help with ideas. :)

not sure what you want to know --- style? cost? need electrician ? what???
Hire an electrician or see if home depot has a class you can take on this . Electricity is not something you can play with on your off time .
You can send that old one to me, I love it! lol With that angle you'll have to get something that is either small and flush, or that hangs.
Check out a store called Lights Plus, they have many styles.... http://www.lampsplus.com/products/close-to-ceiling-lights/usage_flush-mount/
Thanks!
There a MANY fixtures that will fit your style and budget. Replacing a light fixture is usually pretty easy to do. POWER OFF!! I have been only installing LED bulbs whenever I add or replace lights.
