I'd just remove the sewing machine when not in use and store it under the desk. Since computers are used a lot more, I'd keep that on my desk most of the time.
I would have a board cut that you could slide in to one of the top drawer spaces. This would give you the space to put your sewing machine.
If your computer is a laptop , absolutely . The easiest thing I can think of would be to get a shelf at Office Depot for the computer , similar to the over the sink space savers . This leaves plenty of room for crafting and sewing .
Put the sewing machine and the computer each on thick felt or the felt circles made for furniture legs. They should then slide back and forth on top of the desk. Also, put any computer parts you can on the floor under the desk and on a shelf above the desk. If you can't do that, put casters on the file cabinet and use it for the computer. Best wishes 😇
The question has not been resolved, hit wrong button. Sorry!
I don't know how big your desk top computer is but mine measures about 8" at the base. If at all possible (given space constraints) I would turn the desk so the end is against the wall and put the sewing machine and desktop, back to back. You could sew a cover to use over the one that is not currently in use and move the desk chair as needed from one side to the other.
