a friend did this and she left the windows in their frames. She used doors with windows on top and used them as the body of the building. Her husband build the frame of the shed and she added the windows and doors! She used cement opened bricks to make her potting table. It was really cool.
I would leave the glass in if you have a place to store properly.
If your gathering of windows is ample, you can build a whole little greenhouse out of them. Don't take the glass out. Repair any broken panes and reputty any loose windows. If you know the color you want you can sand, prime, and paint the windows as you go, using exterior primer and paint. I suggest keeping the side that will be inside white to keep the light reflecting. The outside can be any color you want. Best wishes 😇
I kept mine in the frames and just fit them in, even the full view storm doors that I used for the walls. Take off the broken hinges and handles and fill any holes with silicone sealer. If any of the doors have good hinges and handles you can reuse them as the actual entries. These storm doors are quarter inch glass and stand up well to wind and hail.

Thank you so much for that information. I am in the planning/drawing plan stage right now but so look forward to the finished product.
Thank you all so much for your responses and suggestions. I am planning the design of the shed which is ever changing due to me still collecting those little wonderful freebies or low cost windows. lol.
framed. I have seen very beautiful examples of this but it took many more windows than were actually used.
