Hole in the wall entrance
Hello, I have this hole in the wall of the main entrance of my house and do not know what I can do?
Rustoleum makes a beautiful line of metallic paints that have primer in them. Many finishes to choose from. I have used several of these and they wear very nicely if applied as directed.
I used black hammered rustolium paint and it held up for 2 winters already.
Lots of spray paints available at hardware and big box stores specifically for metal.
assuming they are solid brass I would restore to original finish with fine steel wool, thoroughly clean and spray with a good urethane
I have used hammered metal spray paint to update several exterior hardware items, and it lasts for years. You can get black, silver, bronze, pewter, copper and lots of other colors so you are able to match the look you like.
Make sure you cover the keyhole so the paint doesn't reach the mechanism.
